The name Plumeria Frangipani genus is named to celebrate a seventeenth-century French botanist, naturalist and explorer Charles Plumier 1646, who travel into the New World, documenting and identifying many new plant and animal species.  
The Name Frangipani stems from the mid 19th century, named after the Marquis Muzio Frangipani, a 16th century Italian from a noble family, Muzio Frangipani created a perfume.

The Plumeria Frangipani is a small genus of flowering trees, native to tropical and subtropical Americas, the family grows on South America, all the Caribbean, including Hawaii, as well is love and propagated all around the world. The most popular frangipani in South Florida gardens today is the (Plumeria Pudica) this frangipani from species of the genus Plumeria (Apocynaceae), native to Panama, Colombia, and Venezuela.  Commonly called Golden Arrow, Gilded Spoon or  Bridal bouquet; White frangipani, Fiddle leaf plumeria or Wild plumeria.

This Plumeria is very popular in South Florida gardens you can unusually find it flowering profusely through spring to autumn, with a fabulous cluster bouquet of white flowers with a lovely gold center, 1 1/2".
Dark green foliage spatula-shaped and waxy leaves. The bush stands 4 to 12 feet with straight branches upright erect with discipline, you can spot it as an ornamental accent plant in many gardens, or decorative plant pots, in patios and balconies throughout the warmer months.

Water and fertilize more freely in the spring and summer months.
